26 Aug Profile Noire Exhibit ~ See You There!
Profile Noire 🖤
TICKETS AVAILABLE on Eventbrite
If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve been working on a project, Profile Noire, for over a year now. I set out to photograph 100 women of color to highlight their beauty, power and regality. It is my intention to impact the visual representation of women of color and showcase them sitting in their seat of power.
Well, last year I said I wanted the project to debut on October 19, 2019 and here we are…locked in and approaching the date I claimed over a year ago.
Why October 19th?
It really boils down to two main reasons:
- October is my favorite month of the year – I love the way if feels, tastes, smells, looks, and sounds
- 19 is the most powerful number in numerology – containing both the beginning and end of the root numbers (1 and 9) and holds the optimum expression and vibration of the number 1 (1 + 9 = 10; 1 + 0 = 1). It shines a light on all the other energies around it and indicates a rebirth. The end of an old cycle and the beginning of another
The exhibit will be hosted by the Charles Sumner School Museum & Archives in downtown Washington, DC until January 18, 2020 (the day before my birthday on January 19th*wink*). A lecture series will be conducted during the 3-month exhibit!!
Event Attire: Cocktail – allow your inner creative to shine through. I’d love for attendees to be just as visually stimulating as the artwork on the walls
